Olivia and the Little Way
A Catholic children's fiction book by Nancy Carabio Belanger
About the Author

Nancy Carabio Belanger has loved to write ever since she was a little girl.  She used to write fiction stories in math class when she was supposed to be listening to the teacher, a practice she certainly does not recommend to her readers.  She has a great love for St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and can relate to the great saint’s sometimes tempestuous and oversensitive personality.  She says that Thérèse’s Little Way is a reminder to all of us who feel like we can do nothing, that we aren’t old enough, smart enough, etc.  We can all make little sacrifices to please God.

Like Olivia, Nancy loves to cook and loves to spend time in the kitchen trying new recipes.  She also enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and relaxing with a good cookbook, reading it like a novel.  When she is not volunteering at her sons’ school, she usually can be found underneath a mountain of laundry or working at her job as a freelance proofreader.  A graduate of Michigan State University, she lives with her husband and two sons in Michigan.

Illustrator Sandra Casali LewAllen is an experienced artist in many types of media. A graduate of Wayne State University in art education, she studied studio art and art history in Perugia, Italy. She is working toward a master's degree in education at Michigan State University.

Sandra and her husband Dave have two children, Nick and Sarah. She currently teaches art to elementary school children in Michigan. As time permits, she loves to draw, paint, sculpt, and create freelance art.
